Associated Planters of Silay-Saravia, Inc.

A non-stock, non- profit organization, APSSI was formed by sugar planters whose primary purpose was to promote, enhance and protect the interests and welfare of the planters of the Hawaiian-Philippine Company Mill District and that of their employees and laborers. The incorporators who envisioned a friendly and harmonious relations between the members of this corporation and the Mill between the said members themselves and between said members and their employees and laborers were: Eduardo Q. Maravilla, Aguinaldo S. Gamboa, Luis F. Magalona, Roberto L. Jalandoni, Sergio Montinola, Carlos Jalandoni, Sr., Francisco Sajo, Jr., Ricardo L. Gamboa, Serafin Gamboa, Jesus D. Cuaycong, Danilo L. Gamboa, Isidro Lopez. In August 2000, a two-storey building was inaugurated and now houses several commercial stores. The building was built out of the earnings of the association after more than three decades of operation. Today, forty-one years later after its inception, APSSI now boasts of a growing number of planter –members whose sugar farms are located not only within the Hawaiian Mill District but as far as San Carlos City, Hinigaran and Don Salvador Benedicto. With extensive campaign, efficient service and Divine guidance, the coming milling season promises to be fruitful and productive not only for the association but also for APSSI loyal planter-members. Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on the 21st of February 1966.
